The braveness of the waterfalls is combined with the peace of the lakes and the river.
It was a defensive fortress against the Muslims and during 12th century king Alfonso II ceded the castle and the land to the Cister Monks. Twelve monks and one abbot from Tarrangona moved here in order to spread Christian faith.
